Now that I’m pregnant, I’m craving hot baths even more than ever. Lucky for me, I still have a LOT of bath bombs laying around, waiting to be reviewed. Today’s turn is The One With Orange Slices. I was particulary curious about this one, because I’m obsessed with anything smelling like oranges. For example, Orange shower scrub or the Sweet Wild Orange hand balsam. Ready to hop into the tub?
What is it?
Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Dried Orange Slice, Brazilian Orange Oil, *Limonene, Water (Aqua), Dipropylene Glycol, *Linalool, Perfume, Colour 15985:1, Colour 19140:1
Lush The One With Orange Slices Bath Bomb costs £6.00 / $8.50 / €8,00 and is part of the 28 new bath bombs launch for World Bath Bomb Day.
As expected, this bath bomb smells like oranges. I didn’t feel like the scent was very strong, but that might be caused by the fact that I left it in my room for two weeks. Maybe the scent kinda disappeared? It contains a real slice of orange on top (just one, not multiple like the name suggests) and the only real ingredient here is the Brazilian orange oil. It’s perfect for early mornings (if you’d take a bath in the morning) because of its zesty, fruity and uplifting scent.
What do I think?
If you want to know what its like to bathe in a tub full of Fanta Orange, you should buy this bath bomb. It was such a refreshing, reinvigorating soak. I LOVED the end color—a bright and vivid orange color. A nice surprise were the slices of oranges inside! That explains the name of this bath bomb. The bath bomb was quick to dissolve, and immediately turned the bath into a happy shade or orange. It’s a fairly simple bath bomb, with just one color, but I absolutely loved it. Simplicity at its finest. The uplifting scent of dozens of oranges was very well noticeable in the bathroom and totally gave the finishing touch. I wouldn’t buy it again, maybe it was on sale, but I definitely recommend it—especially for orange lovers!
