Furze is a flowering shrub native to parts of Europe and North Africa, otherwise known as ulex or gorse. It is apparently prevalent in Cornwall, and in the summer, the bright yellow flowers open and perfume the air with a coconut-floral aroma.
In the bottle and in the pot, it has a dense, buttery-powdery-sweet scent, like coconut and cocoa butter. Many reviews and the product notes list neroli and mimosa, as well as coconut and a touch of musk and fruit, but all I get is Play-Doh. When we first got it into the store, a number of my coworkers agreed. To those in countries outside of the US who don’t know, Play-Doh is a sculpting clay for kids that come in a wide range of colours. Very few American children will be unfamiliar with the distinctive scent.
On my skin, which is oily and, I have to assume, acidic, because everything goes sour on me, it smells grassy at first, almost like celery, then settles into the Play Doh scent again, though with a vegetal backnote.
I was looking forward to receiving this solid perfume in March’s Kitchen box. It was such a baffling fragrance in the store, I had to know if it was different in solid form. Sadly, in my opinion, it is not. I tried it on my skin, because skin chemistry will change how a scent behaves, and I didn’t detect any of the neroli or mimosa notes, both of which are scents I adore.
I don’t love it, but I do remember loving Cornwall the one time I visited. After doing a little research on the inspiration, I am developing a sort of fondness. So I’ll keep it, and next time I’m in southwest England, maybe I’ll encounter that springy furze breeze and fall in love with this unconventional scent.

You might recognize this bath bomb from my review two weeks ago, but in pink. Lush released three colors of this flower-like bath bomb, with each their own different ingredients, scents and of course colors. Today I’ll be reviewing Chamomile, the blue version!
If there’s one thing I can’t live without, it’s a good scrub. Despite my inactiveness the past few years, I always kept using body scrubs by Lush because I simply LOVE them. My favorites are Orange body scrub and Magic Crystals body scrub, but I’m always trying out new scrubs. When I saw The Old Songs Are Waking, I was instantly in love at the pretty texture. Today I’ll be reviewing this beauty!

I’m a sucker for colorful bath bombs, so it wasn’t a surprise that I bought this bath bomb immediately when I saw it. Upon arriving I was in love—this bath bomb is huge and so colorful. It looks like a ticket… a ticket for a long soak. I normally don’t do long soaks, I can never sit still and I usually exit the bath after half an hour. But maybe, this time I will truly have one long soak!

Not being around the Lush community for 2.5 years has gotten me out of touch with all the new products. Sticky Dates was one of the products that sparked my curiosity, especially after seeing people raving about this scent. After learning this product has a sweet gourmand scent, I was sold. If there’s one thing that makes me happy in life, it’s food and food-scented products. (Okay, two things) There was absolutely no hesitation ordering new stuff from the website—I HAD to grab myself all the Sticky Dates goodies. Today I’m kicking off with the body lotion!

While browsing for Mother’s Day goodies in the UK webshop, I couldn’t help but notice how cute this bath bomb was. Initially I expected this bath bomb to have a herbal scent, but I was way off! This bath bomb actually shares its scent with a bath bomb from the Harajuku range, years ago. If you’re curious to know which one, and how I liked this bath bomb, keep on reading.
When I got back to blogging, I had to order some new stuff to review. Since I hadn’t tried new stuff in about 2,5 years, I had no idea what’s good and what’s not. Ordering Co-Mingle was quite a risk, since it’s only available in a big pot which cost me 25 euros! But it was the word lavender that made me buy it. Today I’ll be reviewing this product, so you know wether to buy it or not.

If there’s one thing I like about Mother’s Day at Lush, it’s the bath products. They always come up with the cutest bath bombs! When I ordered products from the Mother’s Day range (which will launch March 24 for other parts of the world) I had to grab myself every Blooming Beautiful bath bomb (there are 3) from the webshop. They all share the same design, and partially the name as well, but today I’m kicking off with reviewing the pink one: Orange Blossom.
Every winter I’m troubled with the same old problems—dry skin and dry lips. I love me some good lip scrub, but to ensure soft lips, I have to use a good lip balm as well. I had actually never used a lip balm by Lush before, but since I’m pretty much enthousiast about 99% of their products, I knew this lip butter would be a hit too. I chose Crush, part of the Valentine’s Day range, because I saw that this lip balm wasn’t in a small jar like the other lip balms—which is super inconvenient when you have long nails. Bonus points for the orange in this lip balm!

Cleansing my face has become a fun thing to do these days, thanks to the Lush cleansers. I truly enjoy using them, so I figured I’d review one of their most popular cleanser — Angels on Bare Skin. Let The Good Times Roll has been a long time favorite of mine, so let’s see if this one’s just as good!
