When I got back to blogging, I had to order some new stuff to review. Since I hadn’t tried new stuff in about 2,5 years, I had no idea what’s good and what’s not. Ordering Co-Mingle was quite a risk, since it’s only available in a big pot which cost me 25 euros! But it was the word lavender that made me buy it. Today I’ll be reviewing this product, so you know wether to buy it or not.

What is it?
Lush Co-Mingle body scrub costs £20.00 / $27.00 / €25,00 (225g/7.9oz.). Co-Mingle is a product that exfoliates the skin, but also cleanses and moisturises. Lush has quite a few body scrubs, of which some I really adore (Rub Rub Rub, Orange and Magic Crystals) and a good scrub is definitely a big part of my shower routine. I was pretty confident I would like this one too, since it contains lavender. Despite the color of the scrub, which might make you think this is Rose Jam scented—but it’s not! The lavender gives off Sleepy vibes, which makes the scrub ideal right before bedtime, especially combined with Sleepy shower gel.
What’s inside?
Ingredients: Glycerine, Cypress Leaf Infusion, Spring Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Bamboo Stem Extract, Tagua Nut Powder, Almond Oil, Propylene Glycol, Brazil Nut Oil, Vanilla Pod Infusion, Fair Trade Shea Butter, Stearic Acid, Argan Oil, Cupuaçu Butter, Lavender Oil, Goji Berry Juice, Citric Acid, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Carrageenan Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Triethanolamine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, *Coumarin, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Colour 77491, Colour 45410:2
This body scrub has a mousse-like texture, which explains the glycerine being the first ingredient. The tagua powder and bamboo stem in this product makes for a gritty texture, which is great for everyone with a sensitive skin (like me!). There’s a lot of ingredients that are great for the skin, like shea butter, almond oil, cupuaçu oil, argan oil and cocoa butter. My dry skin is just begging for this scrub to be used! 😂
Scent
The scent is almost identical to Sleepy—at first I thought it was Sleepy scented, but it clearly has a herbal note to it. It reminds me a lot of Dream Cream. Dream Cream, however, contains chamomile which I don’t smell in Co-Mingle. To me, it’s a mix between Dream Cream and Twilight. Twilight was Lush’s former lavender scent, before they came up with Sleepy. Twilight was purely lavender topped off with tonka beans, while Sleepy has a creamy note to it. I’m a huge lover of anything lavender, and while I can definitely appreciate both scents, I’ve always found Twilight to be a little bit better than Sleepy. Nonetheless, Co-Mingle is an amazing lavender scented product, and will make you feel like you’re floating over lavender fields in Provence.
What do I think?
The first thing I noticed is that the texture is very unique! It is indeed a mousse-like texture, very soft, creamy and airy. The texture is also very gritty, it’s comparable to Mamma Mia body scrub. The scrub grains aren’t made out of fine sea salt, so it’s not a very coarse scrub. Nonetheless it’s still amazingly effective at exfoliating the skin! My skin instantly feels softer, cleaner and way more hydrated. The moisturising ingredients in this product are working wonders for my dry skin, I can just feel how supple and smooth my skin is after using this. The grainy texture is perfect for using this product a few times a week. I also feel like you don’t need a lot of product to scrub all of your limbs and your front, which kiiinda justifies the price for me 😛 The scent also fills up the entire bathroom, helping me relax and unwind. I’m a fan!
